BABY BELUGA

POLAR BEAR (My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean tune) :
The polar bear lives in Alaska,
He never gets cold in a storm.
He swims in the icy cold water,
His heavy, white coat keep him warm.
Warm, warm, warm, warm.
His heavy white coat keeps him warm, warm, warm.
Warm, warm, warm, warm.
His heavy white coat keeps him warm.

5 LITTLE PENGUINS:
5 little penguins I once knew.
Short ones, fat ones, skinny ones too.
But the one little penguin with the feather on top,
He led the others sliding up and down.
Up and down, up and down.
He led the others sliding up and down.

PENGUIN SONG (I'm a Little Teapot tune):
I'm a little penguin (do a "penguin walk" in place)
In the sea.  (make wave movements with your arms)
I can swim as fast as can be!  (swimming motion - fast)
When I catch a fish, just look at me (pretend to grab a fish)
I'm as proud as I can be!  (stand proudly)

PENGUIN SONG (My Bonnie Lies over the Ocean tune) :
The penguin slides over the ice bank,
The penguin jumps intot he sea.
Look at his black and white feathers.
That penguin is as cute as me!!!!!!!!
As cute.  As cute.  That penguin is at cute as me, You see!
As cute, as cute.  That penguin is as cute as me!

IN AND OUT THE IGLOO (In and Out the Window tune) :
Go in and out the igloo.
Go in and out the igloo.
Go in and out the igloo.
Go in and out once more.

10 LITTLE PENGUINS , ETC. (10 Little Indians tune)

HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A PENGUIN (Have you ever Seen a Lassie tune):
Have you ever seen a penguin? a penguin? a penguin?
Have you ever seen a penguin swim this way and that?  (make swimming motion with arms)
Swim this way and that way,
And this way and that way.
Have you ever seen a penguin swim this way and that?
**Repeat, substitute "swim" with "slide" (make sliding motions)
                                                   "waddle"

I KNOW A LITTLE PENGUIN (Mr. Crocodile tune):
I know a little penguin
Who sat on the blocks.
He swam in the ocean
And he climbed on some rocks.
He snapped at a seagull,
He snapped at a seal,
He snapped at a fish,
OH, what a meal!

FINGER PLAYS:
WADDLING PENGUINS:
(waddle around like a penguin)
Penguins, penguins having fun.
Waddling in the winter sun.
Waddling fast and waddling slow.
Waddling to and waddling fro.
Penguins, penguins having fun,
Waddling in the winter sun.

SIX LITTLE PENGUINS:
Six little penguins off an iceberg did dive,
One bumped his head and then ther were five.
Five little penguins swam the ocean floor,
One saw a whale, and then there were four.
Four little penguins twirled around, WHEE!
One spun off and then there were three.
Three little penguins with nothing to do,
One went fishing and then there were two.
Two little penguins having lots of fun,
One slid away and then there was one.
One little penguin when the day was done,
Went home to sleep and then ther was none.

A PENGUIN:
(Children are standing)
A penguin when he goes somewhere,   (waddle from side to side)
Will walk or swim; here's why:              (waddle first, then swim)
Although he has two bird-like wings,     (hold up two fingers)
He simply cannot fly!                            (tuck hands into armpits and   "flap"wings)

5 LITTLE ESKIMOS:
(hold up all five fingers and push down one by one)
5 little eskimos by the igloo door,
1 went out to feed the dogs, then there were 4.
4 little eskimos rowing out to sea,
1 jumped on an iceberg and then there were 3.
3 little eskimos making fish stew,
1 burnt his finger and then there were 2.
2 little eskimos hunting for fun,
1 chased a baby seal, and then there was 1.
1 little eskimo, all his work done,
Went home for supper, then there was none.
